SCHOOL HISTORY

Education is an instrument of change towards the development of people in a community. Alabang Elementary School adheres to this vision as we can precisely say that Brgy. Alabang has been leading when it comes to the number of professionals. How did it come to be? Having a well-established school which caters for the needs of each individual is the answer. Let's take a closer look on how did Alabang Elementary School existed.

The first school is a house owned by Mr. Elino Bunye and Mr. Quintin Navarro. The pupils transfer from each house and the church also served as a classroom. Mr. Norte acted as the principal. Pupils who complete the sixth grade and want to pursue the seventh grade continue their studies in Parañaque.

Years passed and the government of Muntinlupa decided to build a school in Alabang while the Municipal Hall will be located in the poblacion area. The first building was made possible through the donation of labor or "bayanihan" in 1919. Mrs. Teodora dela Cruz also known as, "Lolang Nene" donated some funds and goods for the workers.

When the first building came into completion, children from Taguig, Bagumbayan and barrios of Muntinlupa flocked to enroll and study. Alabang Elementary School served as grounds for graduation since most pupils finish the sixth grade in this institution. In the year 1928, the teaching force comprises of Mr. Andres Bulay Sr., Mrs. Teodesia N. San Juan & Mrs. Pilar Fabian. They were headed by Mr. Rufino Santos who acted as the principal.

From then on, Alabang Elementary School came into its full operation.
